How I fix this one. Click the Wrench icon (customize button) Click Options Click Personal Stuff Click clear browsing data Tick emty the cache Untick other items if you don't want to erase your browsing history etc. Click clear browsing data Google should put a link under the loading progress bar for when problems accur during loading. Each step further into loading, the link url can be modified so that if you click it, you see relevant tips to your particular problem. And clearing cache data would be a useful tip when it fails to load at this particular point so many people experience. Just putting that out there, google?
How-To: Make Gmail the default mail app in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on Mac. Jeff Benjamin - Feb. 26th 2016 8:23 am PT. How to make Gmail the default mail app in Chrome. Although Google Chrome does not include a feature that opens email links in the Gmail website, Google has created an official extension that adds this function to the browser.
Can I have a job please? Timovos 9/2/2010, 11:44 น. Yea probably the thing is, I have Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit and I recently re-installed it as I was having general computer issues. Everything installed beautifully and Gmail worked nicely for the first few days. Then my computer was like reinstalling some stuff and doing updates and all of a sudden it stopped working. Gmail used to work fine before the reinstall of my operating system. I believe I am just missing some piece of software or something went wrong in installing, I really dont know.
I agree with you this is a problem that Google should fix. It seems absurd that a product of theirs doesn't work in another product that they made. It should work just fine. Airax, 19:01 น. I am having The same problem only with explorer,I get this massive long address in the address bar and it tries to load over and over however I can access gmail through google chrome I really wish google had a live help chat window where they could look at your desktop and help sort it out I mean they are only one of the biggest companies in the world and they leave their users hanging like this,it's just not fair.I cant even find a thread where someones having this issue with explorer so that's why I'm here reading all your comments.Signed frustrated!!!!!! I started having this problem three days ago. My Gmail was working well, until all of a sudden it couldn't load past 99.9% when I open it. I goggled for solutions, but nothing helped.
From my experience in web development, most of such behavior occurs because of executing scripts, so I disabled my extensions one-by-one and until I got to the culprit, McAfee SiteAdvisor. It looks like McAfee SiteAdvisor is a buggy Extension (.sigh.). In some cases, disabling Gmail Labs worked for other people.
I am happy the post was useful to you. PS: My Gmail has not had any loading problems since this solution. Badger109 13/1/2011, 20:27 น. Looks like this post has a lot of recent activity. Here's my situation. Just performed a clean install of win7. Trying Microsoft Security Suite for my AV.
Just copied my chrome profile folder from before. Tried all these suggestions with no luck; then I tried incognito and sure enough gmail popped right up. I was almost certain Microsoft Security Suit was at fault, but no it was an extension. Disabled AdBlock and it worked. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, now we are golden. Now I'm using adblock, not sure if i had adblock plus before or if it matters. Fordmanck 29/1/2011, 4:54 น.
Is anybody else using priority inbox with google apps? I narrowed down the problem to being caused by enabling priority inbox - I was encouraged to enable priority inbox a few days ago, and since then, it won't load in Chrome anymore. Loads everywhere else. Loads in incognito mode. Using latest version of Chrome (11.0.696.68). The problem is fully reproducible - I use a different browser (or incognito mode) to turn the priority inbox feature on/off. When it's on, I can't load my mail in Chrome.
When it's off, everything works normally. I repeated this several times to make sure. I guess this feature left the labs a little too soon?
I hope someone at Google is reading this. Dwasemann 25/5/2011, 13:14 น. OMG it drives me crazy too. I'm really making an effort to use Chrome as my main browser, but not being able to use gmail really hampers that. This doesn't help, but Google is working on the issue: 'Inbox won't load using Google Chrome If you encounter a blank white page when trying to access Gmail in Google Chrome, and also when accessing iGoogle or other Google sites, you're likely encountering a known issue with Google Chrome.
While our engineers are investigating this issue, you can access Gmail with another browser, such as Mozilla Firefox.' It really sucks. Jacques777 23/3/2009, 7:32 น. Hey guys, Thanks for your reports. That's interesting. As a workaround, please try accessing from an incognito window or using the secure address as Jacques777 and patt.laclair mention (thanks!).
Or if you have user scripts enable, please disable them for now (thanks Joel Salomen). Now, to help us troubleshoot this a little further, can you guys try downloading a web debugging proxy (ex.
Fiddler referenced below), open up the tool, try to load Gmail, save the Fiddler session and send it to us (use Reference 2 below)? Please do this only if you're comfortable with sending us your browse session. Best, Shawn TMatthis 19/4/2009, 5:24 น. Hey, I've been getting this problem too. I had previously followed this link: to solve the problem of some pages not loading because it didn't recognise Chrome, so you fooled it into thinking it was firefox, or something similar. But removing this made my gmail load properly.
So does anyone know a way I can have this in for those odd websites that don't work with chrome until you fool it into thinking it's firefox, but still having gmail load properly? Thanks, Graham. Pozitronic 16/8/2009, 0:33 น. Mine is a little different.
I was out of town and on Chrome with Win 10 just fine, on Facebook. The next night, FB wouldn't load, but it would on my phone. I was blaming it on slow wi-fi.
But all my other pages-including Gmail-were fine. The 3rd night my husband had his notebook and it worked fine with Chrome. So I opened up IE, which I never use, and FB loaded fine. All I am getting with Chrome, even now at home, is the basic page logged in, with no content but the top info. I did go into the proxy/LAN settings and nothing changed, so I changed them back.
